Design and Features:
- The Model Y shares many design cues with the Model 3, but is slightly larger and taller with a more upright seating position.
- It seats up to seven passengers with optional third-row seating.
- The Model Y features a panoramic glass roof, a 15-inch touchscreen display, and a minimalist interior design.
- It also features Tesla's Autopilot driver assistance system, which can assist with steering, acceleration, and braking on highways.
Charging and Connectivity:
- The Model Y comes standard with a 120-volt mobile connector for home charging, but can also be charged at public Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations.
- With a Tesla Supercharger, the Model Y can charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 30 minutes.
- The Model Y also features built-in Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity for over-the-air software updates and access to streaming music and other service.
Safety:
- The Model Y has received a 5-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
- It comes standard with advanced safety features such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.
Pricing:
- The Long Range version of the Model Y starts at $53,990, while the Performance version starts at $60,990.
- There are additional options such as paint color, interior finish, and Full Self-Driving Capability (an optional software package that enables advanced autonomous driving features) that can add to the price.
